  • Oversee the production and editing of the Pittsburgh Business Times’ weekly edition, website, daily newsletter and social media.
  • Manage the award-winning editorial department with a staff of 9, plus interns, freelancers and columnists. Responsible for hiring, training and evaluating all editorial staff members.
  • Work closely with the events and advertising departments to craft content for a robust series of events and to develop sellable content that resonates with our readers.
  • Edit stories for both print and online with an analytics-driven mindset, ensuring all content is of the highest quality.

Managed day-to-day operations of editorial staff. Was the primary mentor for reporters, ensuring they were delivering breaking business news of the most relevance for our readers.

Created story ideas, reported on and wrote about transportation, technology, accounting and energy for the web and weekly newspaper. Developed front-page, in-depth news packages on several topics, including nanotechnology, executive compensation and Pittsburgh’s aging workforce.
